That is awesome, this story makes me want to know more about the other White Wolf products since i've only played Vampire.

Old World of Darkness Mage is not for the lighthearted. :P

These is something in that quest line fighting the demon that is very fun. Once you do it on your own you should look up some spoilers for it. It cool enough you might want to redo it.

Denise Crosby's character is the rogue scientist/scholar (since it looks like she is the brainy type with a wide range of knowledge).

Its not the same girl. Also when he first went to Brian's? house, did anyone find it odd that after knocking he tries the door knob and then cases the house to find a way in? All he had was a tip and things were still sort of normal at this point so why the heck is he breaking into someone's house?

I agree Rifts Australia fits the clip best, but Rifts Japan is all kinds of cool.
(staying with main book, the group looked like)
Borg, Rogue Scientist, Vagabond, Juicer.

Silent Star was is better than the 3 new ones :P. Although watching it does annoying me because I wonder how Lucus could screw up so badly later on what started out so great.

IMO, WW's mmo is going to be a flop. They made a bad choice for the company. The game mechanics were better in NWoD, but it had no soul, which had more to do with its non-sales than the small market.

RPGs / Re: So... 4E will have a Web based Character Builder

I think this is the reaction to the whole "Subscribe, Get Character Builder, DOWNLOAD EVERTHINGY, Unsubcribe" thing.

Well, it was good while it lasted.

Why is that a problem? I bought a program and I got to use all of it. If they didn't like selling it at $10 then charged more. If I wanted an update to the program (that I had all ready paid for) then I had to buy it again, but at least it was my choice. Plus I could use the older version as much as I wanted. Now they hold the characters I make hostage, forcing me to pay a monthly free.
Its a character builder, most companies give them for free. This isn't an mmo. It doesn't offer other usefule this for the price (like online table top gaming).

I liked Siren best. Great game. Much ass kicking.

Make the quest time dependent or have the npcs leave or refortify.

So the party is tackling a bandit hideout. They get half way through and decide to go rest for a day before taking on the rest. There is no pause button in D&D. Have the bandit leader leave after half his gang gets wiped, then hire assassins, which attack when the party it at its weakest.

The problem isn't with encounters as much as DM's not using the tools they have. Do the npcs flank? Do they focus fire the leaders? Do they kill off wounded party members? Do they range attack the defenders? Do they move around? If a party is having an easy time of it, its because the DM wants them to.

This is one of the failing of NWoD (depending on your point of view). It favors monster of the week. My suggestion would be to focus on one game and think of it like you were making a dnd chronicle. CtL is fairly good for long term play. You can work on court intrigue, lots of in fighting in the face of a strong and fearful outside threat. At least at the start I would deal with True fae as only a boggie man. Changeling are people of wildly different views and opinions who are forced to work together for their own survival. That alone should supply a lot of potential drama. NDnD has very deadly combat, by playing in house the pcs can face different types/levels of challenges with less threat of dying than wondering around in the thorns fighting hobs.

It gets a little crazy when they head for fairy Island (before that too). I liked it better before the rape.
