Well my idea is to run a PVP based game

Everyone makes at least one 50 point character. Then we fight them using all the hyper technical details of GURPS combat. With the typical RPPR style humor. Look at http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/ to get an idea of what GURPS combat looks like.

Use http://sourceforge.net/projects/gcs-java/files/2009.01.01/gcs-2009.01.01.windows.zip/download to make a character.

If anyone had maptools scripts to help speed that up, that would be super.

I checked the character sheet out, but it seemed to be missing a lot (i.e. advantages and disadvantages), is there something special I need to do to get that to show up?  Or did screw up before I even started?

Wait... does decreasing attributes count towards the Disadvantage limits?

Doesn't it just give you moar points?

Yes, lowered attribute points count against disadvantage total. P 120 of the character book.

Fuck, I gotta drop ten. Hang on, I'll fix him.

Alteration:
Alright, changed enhanced Dodge to enhanced Block and changed Swim to Shield, making Stan's metal garbage can-lib his go to piece of equipment.

Second Alteration:

There, changed the original post. Left HT at 10 so he only gains 25 points from defects. And I dropped Jump a little so I could keep Swim and get Shield.

So Ross, these aren't like arena fights are they? Cus, I got plans.

Hell yeah bitches. Guess who just bought a new headset (albeit a cheap crappy one because I can't stomach the idea of paying more than 20 dollars for something I might use three times a month).

That is simply delightful. The thong garrote is a nice touch.

So I've come to the sad realization that I probably won't be able to figure out GURPS as much as I would like to before playing and that I don't really have the time to roll a character at the moment.  However, if you are playing using Maptools and Skype, I would like to sit in and watch if people don't mind and it ends up happening...

Or you could post what kind of bum you want and those of us who are more GURPS aware could design a character for you.

Playing just rolling d6s, it's easy.

My first idea was Vietnam Guy, he has one arm and has seen things. I think one arm is more then 25 points though. But yeah, GURPS is only slightly more complicated then DnD without the optional rules. I'm trying to poke my girlfriend into posting an idea she got from Pit Boss.

I thought Gulf War first. Younger than Vietnam but a good excuse for a combat monster, such as one can do a "combat monster" with 50 pts. Then again, -1 to IQ, +2 to DX, and a few ranks of Arm Strength with points left over dumped into the Knife Attack will solve most problems, I'm sure.

Targeted Attack: Knife Thrust; Neck.

Targeted Attack: Knife Thrust; Neck.

Yeah, the Highlander in the MLoEG game I'm planning did something similar, but the neck only takes double damage from cutting attacks and a Knife Thrust is piercing damage. You need to Swing.
