Combination chronic insomnia, lived too hard this weekend and thus screwed over my sleep schedule, and a sheer willingness to be insane.

A few years back, as part of a school experiment, I tried an 32-on, 12-off sleeping pattern to see if it improved my study habits.
It's amazing how fucking dumb that idea sounds with the benefit of hindsight.
