Based on recent RPPR Actual Plays this would have been a useful link -

I was shocked to see the shoe method in practice.

I've been watching videos by Surveillance Man.  They have inspired me to work on a scenario where the players are just sitting at a restaurant and a random guy walks up and starts taping them without answering any questions or giving ANY communication clues at all.

I am very curious to see how player characters react.   ;D

Just watched VHS 2.  Like the first one it kinda sucks, except for the third film, "Safe Haven," which is this crazy amazeballs story about a zany cult.  It is fucking FUN and would make a great CoC game.  It also helps that the main characters in that one aren't dicks.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derwent,_Derbyshire

The village in Derwent was 'drowned' by the Ladybower reservoir in 1947.
The 2001 UK census lists Derwent as having a population of 51.
Innsmouth is real.

Shades of Eclipse Phase (insofar as existential threats!):

This is, uh... terrifying. I need to write something around it. :D

This single image could be a plot hook. Think about it.

I was on a camping trip with some friends and we stayed in a single room cabin that was handbuilt by his great grandfather in the 1920s or so.  It was very basic and rustic with just a frame and boards for the walls.  What seemed like a very good bit to add to a potential game was that almost every time someone stays there, they find a space on the wall and leave a message about their trip.  It was dark wood and most of it was in pencil, pen, or carved in so they weren't immediately visible and noticeable (you had to walk up to the walls and focus on actually reading them), so I can imagine a lot of creepy elements of players reading mostly jovial messages with some sinister undertone emerging from them....

This has given me an awesome idea for an Unknown Armies game that could devolve into beautiful pvp. Sometimes you just gotta carve your deepest darkest secrets into walls with a friendly tone!
