RPGs / Re: Hacking Red Market question.

I think step one would be to go hard on the Spelll Components & rituals.

wizards have to have enough eye of newt and enough books to nuke their foes, clerics have to appease their patron deities with lavish rituals and or sacrifices, druids have to maintain plants and feed and look after the animalst hey use. Scorcerers are tricky but I imagine you could come up with a reason why they have to spend bank on not being torn apart by forces beyond their control.

For how to mecanise it in game I agree with you a hundred %.

My problem is that anyone who is functionally portable artillery would never be cast out of society and have to bribe himself back in.  He is just to usefull for the people in power.  You could probably feed a whole village on the salary a single Mage could make in tha army.

The people in power hates/distrusts magic, thus, the practice of it is made illegal. Something for which there is definitely precedent in fiction.

Obviously there would still be people who recognize the usefulness of magic, and are willing to hire mages. Their retirement plan is to get out of that particular kingdom/country/region, or something to that effect.

NaissanceE is a freaky architectural game. Lots of exploring really unsettling impossible Brutalist spaces.

Edit: website

I have a copy. It was given to me by my grandparents when I was like six; I actually remember having fun playing it, but that may be because I was six.

If anyone from the RPPR crew would like it I would be happy to let it go to a better home.

Indeed.
I will likely throw in $15 or $25 near the end, just to experience the madness.

Am I wrong in thinking that if death watch is called in the investigation is over and there the clean up clue?
Not at all, at least when the investigation reveals a larger Xenos threat. Other times it could be the Grey Knights if there are Daemons involved, or the Sisters of Battle if you are purging the heretics. Other options are Extermanatus  which is essentially burning the entire planet with fire, or none of the above if the threat is contained by the acolytes.

Byakhee is failing on anything I've tried it on.  The character sheet is smashed together when I am entering values.  I've found The Keep from Yog-sothoth, but are there any other good char. generators for CoC, or a work-around to Byakhee's issues?
I found that while it is smashed together while making a sheet, it works fine for printing. Also you can use the print preview function to see everything where it is supposed to be; you just have to make sure to zoom in.

As a heads up, someone had set some TNT under the doors to the Ross temple (in the desert), and I have sprung the trap while hiding from some zombies. The remains are in a chest in the crater. I would check the other doors before using them.

In other news, i have set off for parts unknown, so my prior home (dark wood shack leading down to a ravine) is up for whatever looting whoever finds it feels is appropriate.

So apparently if I go into a nether portal I built, and then exit through the same portal, it transports me about 400 blocks in the x direction and 900 in the z...

Doens't that occur because someone else built that nether portal in the outworld too close to yours?

That's what I thought, but clearly they aren't THAT close...
Check the X and z coordinates inside and outside of the nether on a portal that is properly set up, then check outside your portal, and then do the conversion, and find that spot in the nether. Then build a portal there and it should work (can't say for sure, as i have only really built a portal in single player.)

Edit: I missed this. The link to the wiki explains it better than I did.

http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Nether_Portal

The implication notes of the portal linkage section says you need a 1000 block clearance between portals in the outworld :(

So in my wandering I have discovered that I don't have permission to take fall damage. I figured I wouldn't be able to do anything else, but the fall damage thing seemed kinda weird.

Anyway, I would like to request permission to take damage. (and build things, I guess.)

Greetings! I am The Doomed One.

I am 20 years old, and am studying Computer Graphics Technology at my local community collage. I got my start in gaming when I was in kindergarten with some old warhammer minis my dad had around the house.
My group is about to start Eclipse Phase with me as the GM, and I am also running Shadowrun on and off.
I greatly enjoy your Eclipse Phase APs, and they have been very helpful in convincing my group to give the game a chance.

I also play Minecraft with the user name the_doomed_one
