You don't hear about ice mages as much.

Luckily my "costume" this year will not include three major bags of swag like it did last year. I'll be free to move about as I see fit!

I guess I'll wear my GM uniform, with vacation shorts and bubblegum sandals.

I am still peeing all of my pants in anticipation.
I wish I was Tom.

Granted, you are now Tom.

I would do the same but my "uniform" has been so used over the last year (I basically tripled the number of games I run since last August) that it is not longer decent to behold. I'll need to create a fitting replacement.

Got my new shoes, my shorts, my hawaiian shit, my t-shirts, and my player killing GM dice. Ready to roll!

I'm hitting the road on monday, I think this is going to be the last year I drive to GenCon, driving six days round trip is alot on a dude.

So, yeah, after sunday I will be off of the forums til I get to the hotel, at which point I will see all of you (by which I mean the cool people who will be at GenCon) for some gaming.

Oh that reminds me: Tom is going to run the Wild Talents Zombie game so I can attend the Ennies. I should be there when they announce that Pathfinder wins best adventure :D

You need to take along a cigarette and some wine and talk loudly about how the awards are meaningless.

Oh, better yet, since Targets got nominated you, Scott Glancy, Shane Ivey, and Toren Atkinson could "congratulate" the Pathfinder guys. All in the long standing spirit of companionship and mutual respect of RPG writers.

if ross had legions of internet fans then road trip would win you know. if only ross had some sort of outlet like a podcast or a website or something.

whatever, it is an honor just to be nominated.

If Ross would have just set up an automatic voting script attached to a random IP generator as suggested...

if losers say it's an honor to be nominated and ross says it's an honor to be nominated what does that make ross?

If he says it after he loses than a loser. Unless you say it while going some ironic or bad ass. Like, the winner steps out into the parking lot and your standing by his car and you say, "It's an honor just to be nominated" is a grizzled voice as you toss your lighter into the car window, lighting the massive amount of chemical accelerants you where pouring in during the "winner's" acceptance speech so you walk away into the shadows while the thing burns.

You know I thought Greg Stolez had swindled me last year when I bought eCollapse and now I'm going to be running a game of it for the company (not that that took alot of effort on my part). I think I might have to make this a tradition. Corner an author, get their recommendation, and then run a session of whatever game they recommended to me at the next GenCon.
