My vote is Iron Heroes.  I feel like I'm somehow less of a role-player for having never played in an extended fantasy campaign.  By the time I had sorta gotten the hang of DnD, we moved on to other things.  My character concept is totally boss; sexist female warrior from a female-dominant warrior society, like Xena meets the Dad from All In the Family, with all the old prejudices reversed.

Rogue Trader sounds pretty cool.  I guess I'm voting for that second, but I know nothing about Warhammer 40,000K.

Zombies and post-apocolypse is cool, but I feel like it has to be hard to have a whole zombie campaign. Personally, I like my zombie setting pretty damn bleak, and I doubt anyone would want to play a long slow slide towards inevitable debate.  The second we started negotiating with some sentient zombie, the whole thing would get a little to "Day of the Dead" for my tastes. I prefer the undead to be mindless and hopelessly overwhelming, neither of which I expect is easy to pull off for extended gameplay.

By "debate," I mean "death."

Okay, Caleb has to be the actual rogue trader (it's a character class in the game). Born into a life of isolation and protection, you now venture forth with the family trade warrant to gather new wealth and power while knowing nothing about the universe.

Or the Arch-Militant. You don't need to know what it is to shot it.

I vote for Rogue Trader as I'm in a Deathwatch game right now and it's pretty fucking awesome.

Definitely look into Dark Heresy and Deathwatch if you're checking out Rogue Trader, they're all the same system, just a slightly different setting. Dark Heresy is more like CoC in the 40k world and Deathwatch is a mission based game where you play as elite Space Marines and just shoot everything in the fucking face.

Rogue Trader crosses over especially well with the Ascension rules from Dark Heresy, the additional rules that let you play actual Inquisitors. At that level the games are very similar, spanning huge section of galaxy. But, Rogue Traders own their ships, Inquisitors tend to have to borrow them (such as hitching a ride with a Rogue Trader).

Thad's character in Invictus was a senator but role played as Hedonism Bot from Futurama

Iron Heroes.

Never cared for Dark Heresy or Rogue Trader. Couldn't get into the HRUR GRIMDARK FOR THE EMPRAH setting.

Probably Rogue Trader, then Nemesis Zombies, then Iron Heroes.
I just want to see the RPPR crew fuck the shit out of Roddenberry's beatific vision of a utopian future with their ultra-death-capitalism. Is that so wrong?

(Also I want Cody back so his character would be introduced to Slaanesh worship  :P)

This probably should have been a poll thread.

What about the Rifts game which was supposed to have spawned from episode 52...aka Palladium Grab Bag experiment?

The Seede of Lovecraft and Siembieda B'mingled...to create the perfect gamer.

GURPS is my new fanboy system so you should use that.
42.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
If you can't fix it with duck tape you haven't used enough.
I intend to live forever -- so far, so good.

After listening to the RIFTS disaster experience I am more convinced than ever that listening to the RPPR crew rock out evil-Star Trek-style in Rogue Trader would be a thing of great power and beauty, and putting Caleb in charge of the ship would be delightful. Tom could play as a Kroot Mercenary, Aaron would be the obligatory tech-priest, and Jason would probably be melting minds as the Navigator or Astropath Transcendent.

EVIL STAR TREK. Think of it.

I have an idea for a post-apocalyptic campaign - not a hard crash but a gradual collapse of civilization. Instead of a Road Warrior or Fallout barren wasteland, imagine endless shanty towns, sprawl, refugee camps and shadow cities for most of humanity and fortified green zones for the privileged elite. Makers and fabricators spewing out pirated video games and AK-47s. Rumors of unnatural things in hot zones - the areas humans can't survive because of rampant pollution and toxic waste which was released by freakish weather or terrorist attacks. Sightings of an Armageddon Beast - an unstoppable killing machine that wanders the world, destroying everything it can. Husks - animate clothing that stalks the fringes and said to worship an impossibly tall man in a suit. There are zombies out there, but they're the least of your problems.
