After listening to Aarons last Monsters game (Junkyard on the Edge of Forever), I am now curious more than ever as to Calebs take on Monsters. My guess, it would involve Noir.

Not that I doubt Caleb at all, but just from reading stuff on the Kickstarter, I got the impression that Better Angels was very toungue-in-cheek. Did I completely misunderstand the tone of the game?

A little. To me the game sounds like dark humor. You have powers but they come from something evil. Not cartoonish evil but honestly from fucking Hell with a captial "H" evil. And you have to keep it from getting out of you and into someone who would use those powers like the demon wants.

That kind of thing can drive someone insane. Or make you actually evil.

This inevitably leads me to suggest Kill Puppies for Satan. If only to see how Caleb and the gang handle a true evil game, and if Aaron is involved, see how his morals and heroic nature hold up.

I would love to see your take on the World of Darkness universe, run with either Mage or Hunter. I think those are the most feasible and story ready supplements. It would be fun to see how creative the players could get with the Mage powers and how creative you could be to stump/challenge them. All the different factions or Hunter could be very interesting, especially using a modified rep system from Eclipse Phase.

Also, is it possible to make a legitimate campaign in "A Dirty World"? Because, that could be really cool as well.
A legit Dirty World campaign is sounding really cool.

I think it only fair you introduce them to the most common of adventuring adversaries (at least for my group). Kobolds!

RPGs / K.P.F.S. anyone here actually play this game?
« on: November 20, 2012, 09:32:10 PM »
Hey all, So I have been reading up the rules for Kill Puppies For Satan after hearing Ross speak of it on the latest Unspeakable (though Ive had the PDF for longer than that) and have actually sat down and wrote up a scenario about an up and starting Satanic cult in a small Ontario Town. This will also likely become a quick pick up and play campaign for a few of my buddies, between normal games.

When I first heard of the game and got the rules I suggested it to a few of my friends (who have a history of playing evil campaigns in D&D and like to crack horrible, horrible jokes about things that could come from the mouth of a K.P.F.S. character) to my surprise, only a few of them showed major interest in it.

Anyone else attempted a game of this? or done something in this system? If anyone is interested, I am going to record this game once I get it started and will post it somewhere online. Maybe the RPPR Community AP Site?

Little Fears in Tokyo?

this is cool. I wonder if the actual anime is any good.

It is, you can find it on youtube. It is only 25 minutes or so, but seeing how everything was done by one guy (the voice over aside) its pretty impressive.

Aside from Polybius and the Squashed Cat, are there any other little fears games that were done/in the plans?

RPGs / Re: Establishing some rules for Slenderman and other monsters

Ive been dabbling with the concept that Slenderman is an aspect of fear or a manifestation of it. As a result when it gets really close, or even makes contact, there is a strong chance the victim is overwhelmed by there greatest fears, which causes insanity or paralysis.

Got a question concerning the heroes of New Arcadia campaign and possibly wild talents too. Where did the Lutian... lutean? come from? were they an original creation from the mind of Ross? Or are they in the wild talents book? Just curious about there conceptual origin.
